Step Two -- "Related" Scriptures

"For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure." (Philippians 2:13)

This is an act of God, which springs forth from us as a matter of faith working through God's love:

"For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love." (Galatians 5: 6)

God is interested in far more than merely restoring us to sanity, which in essence is a relative term, depending on the culture, the community, or the collective in which individuals find themselves.

"Behold my servant, whom I have chosen; my beloved, in whom my soul is well pleased: I will put my spirit upon him, and he shall shew judgment to the Gentiles.

"He shall not strive, nor cry; neither shall any man hear his voice in the streets.

"A bruised reed shall he not break, and smoking flax shall he not quench, till he send forth judgment unto victory.

"And in his name shall the Gentiles trust." (Matthew 12: 18-21)

This passage describes the Finished Work of Jesus Christ, not a process initiated by God which His disciples were then intended to complete on their own.

"It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life" (John 6: 63)

God's Word profits us,  grants us truth, which in turn sets us free (John 8: 31-32). This restoration and renewal of our minds (Romans 12: 2) is greater still than any steps!
